Swimming in the heart of the city
TIPS FOR A PERFECT DAY UNDER THE SUN
If there is one thing that makes Geneva the perfect summer destination, is swimming in the lake’s clear waters. Blend in with the locals, grab your towel and spend the day on the rocky beach of Bains de Paquis, working on your tan and swimming in the lake’s blue water. A great day deserves a glorious ending: sip a glass of rosé in Buvette des Bains while admiring the sunset from the deck chairs facing the lake and the amazing Jet d’Eau. On the lake’s left bank, ou may also find your perfect spot on the 400-metre-long Eaux-Vives Beach partly sandy, partly with pebbles.
When travelling with children, the city offers family friendly spots like Genève Plage, with their various swimming pools and activities in the lake, such as stand-up paddling and diving.
With its sandy beach, the Baby Plage is children’s magical place, with swings made from recycled tyres under the impressive trees.
